blissful interior, my happy place Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 3:30PM every year i tell myself that i will not let un-needed pressure temper the joy of the holiday season. like i said before, it should be about, peace, love, time with family, cozy kittens, warm woolens, crackling fires...you get the idea...then, without warning that icky stress finds me. this year i choose to blame my surroundings, not nearly serene enough.
which is why i am choosing to spend my holidays in this beautiful copenhagen apartment...serene indeed!
ok, not really, i have a feeling the owners' may have the very same idea.

blissful interior, my happy place Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 2:15PM i have a massive design crush on robert stilin. his ability to combine just the right amount of everything is outstanding. i am especially amazed with the use of artwork in his projects. you all know how i feel about a room centered around a big beautiful photograph...
then of course there are perfect vintage pieces...chairs, rugs, tables...incredibly lovely! robert's interiors are just right, rather than over-designed.
my blog has never felt so beautiful.

Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 3:40PM those of you who have been on a big house hunt, more than likely know the feeling of losing the one you had your heart set on. most of the time we ended up with exactly the right thing, but there are a few that i still think of from time to time (4 to be exact).
this new york country house reminds me so much of one of those...
of course, since it was one that had gotten away, i may have romanticized it a bit over the years. in my mind it looked very similar to this home designed by owners calvin tsao and zack mcknown of tsoa & mcknown architects.
i personally can't wait for the next one we get to keep.

blissful interior, my happy place Friday, November 16, 2012 at 5:14PM i have built and decorated my future home so, so many times in my very imaginative brain. i think it may be time to turn my attention to my second and third homes...perhaps a ski chalet in france? this one in in elle decoration uk is a good start...
