colors of leif

i think we all have colors we are drawn to.  i am all about shades of sea foam, robin's egg blue, mauve, turquoise, pale shades of pink and my latest obsession bits of neon.

so you can imagine how thrilled i was to stumble into the beautiful leif...an online shop stocked with all the colors i can't seem to stay away from...

has me re-thinking this whole submerge-myself-in-all white thing...oooooo better yet, can you imagine all white with bits from leif.

this is big stuff for me...adding color!  oh my!

baba souk

life is hectic.  which is why i love what i do so much.  within our chaotic worlds blogs and pinterest, to me, are an escape...a brain vacation of sorts.  which is why this little shop is so up my alley...BABA Souk: creative oasis & lovely finds.  Such a pretty find...pretty in the most festive way...

stephanie and sheila have started something so delightful.  baba souk showcases ithe work of independent artists and designers in the best possible way: by making each item in the shop the star of the show.

sometimes in this mass produced world of ours it is nice to reminded of the things that are truly unique and special...

cloth and goods

you can never have too many pillows right?  ok, i will rephrase...you can never have too many pillows when they are constructed from the most beautiful textiles...

so, loving cloth and goods...a lovely shop based in portland.  melissa newarth, interior designer, stylist and "textile nut" opened her perfectly curated shop last April and I am in love.  She began by selling pillows made out of vintage linen rescued from an old barn.  a friend suggested she try to expand her business my selling on the internet.  This was back in the 90's and melissa thought her friend was nuts!  Funny how things change!

cloth and goods carries so much more than pillows: rugs, ceramics, art, photography, leather goods, blankets and more.  all from her tiny/perfect studio and shop in the pearl...

goodness!  why haven't i been?

bertie and plum & ashby

i have always been a big dog kind of gal...our gus has grown to be over 60lbs and still growing!  then i met bertie, i want him to come live at my house.  unfortunately, i believe is loved and is the fortunate mascot of the relatively new shop plum and ashby.

he seems to really embrace his celebrity status...understandable!  plum and ashby is a little shop in london.  owner, vicki white, has managed to perfectly capture the essence of the traditional general store, while creating something new and refreshing.  perhaps the best part is that folks are able to take a little bit of bertie into their own homes.

you want him too don't you?

coulthard

hello sweet readers...what could be better than beautiful embellished coats made from vintage wool blankets?

maybe beautiful cushions constructed from flannel and canvas?

the beautiful thing is you don't have to choose.  you can looooove them both equally.  paula coulthard creates the most magical things...her coats and cushions are nothing short of works of art and i am so, so happy to have found them.  i hope they strike a cord with you as well!
