katie quinn davies....again....
Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 4:07PM well, after all of the discussions and the return of the overwhelming desire to do so, i have been taking pictures everyday. granted, at this time most of my photos have been taken using my phone...nevertheless it feels good and incredibly right. i am signed up for a few photography classes, and am thrilled to re-embark on my photographic journey yet again...
however, at this particular moment i simply want to take photos like katie quinn davies. i have featured a bit a about her on my blog in the past, but had to re-visit today. you know how it is when you come across something so inspiring that you feel the need to create...you do right? well, that is how i felt when i popped in on katie's blog, what katie ate, and glimpsed her post on a new coffee house in sydney (alexandria to be more accurate) called the grounds. what can i say? katie's photos stopped me in my tracks, drew me in, and had me longing to hop on a plane, arriving in sydney in time for breakfast. mostly, i was reminded of how much i have to learn, more importantly, want to learn...i love it when that happens.
i had to share some of these remarkable photos with you on bliss...i love you all that much...

Ohhh, I love her photography too, and so wish I had the eye to capture shots like these. But I love your photos just as much, so it's good news to hear you're shooting on a daily basis! :)

When I take a photo with lower exposure, it just comes off as 'dark'. Her's are 'dark!'
You are especially clever for finding Katie's blog....she is a remarkable photographer..inspirational is right1 Thanks for sharing as I have been having camera envy but then realized it isn't just about the camera but knowing how to use it so I am experimenting with my little Canon to teach myself. Can't wait to learn from you!

It almost makes me want to live in Sydney ... oh, wait, I DO live in Sydney, I just don't recognise this version :) I guess that's lovely photography for you.
What Katie Ate is one of my very favorite blogs, her use of light and styling is amazing! So wish we could take some classes together!
