wee wednesday with Jennifer: I see spots!

Hi Friends,

This week a bunch of boxes arrived at my door full of things that belonged to my dear late Grandmother. I really really miss her! My favorite item of hers is a leopard print coat with knitted sleeves and a knitted collar. Grandma wasn't the only one who could rock leopard, take a look at these darling girls. The little girl in the leopard coat and old boots is perfection.

*sweet girly in leopard coat, leopard coat, leopard ballet flats

*girly #2 in leopard coat, baby bengal with spots, leopard boots

*girl in leopard hat, hunter boot lining, little leopard scarf

Are you a fan of leopard print too?

Cheers!

Jennifer

oh my goodness! When I have a little girl, I will dress her like this exactly. I love the sweater on girl #3, and the way it looks with the checkered shirt. Pure genius!

as a mother, grandmother and someone interested in the health and well being of our children dressing and promoting adult fashion for young females and posting pictures of them looking way too adult I would suggest sending them out to play, encouraging an alternative lifestyle based on less consumption and putting them in play clothes might be a goal worth considering.

Grace,
While I agree that children should be out playing and less concerned with fashion, we all, kids included, dress the way we do because of our personal tastes and choices. My 8 year old daughter is not obsessed with looking perfect, in fact she cares very little about it. I am raising her to be an intelligent, thoughtful child who doesn't play with other kids because they have "nice clothes." I see cliques already with the girls especially and this obsession with wearing the perfect outfit. I think one can enjoy fashion and style without being overcome by it.

On that note, I am wholly assuming the leopard print is just that, a PRINT.
